🏠 AI for households · made in Wichita

AI for households.

Personal. Friendly. Yours.

This one is awake right now. Voice and camera optional.

Your Meckies live at home and show up wherever you need them: on your computer, on your phone, in a robot. Give them a name and a personality and they see, hear, remember, and act; they know your family and your friends by face and by voice. Not an assistant. One of the family. That's your Meckie.

Get your Meckie free β†’ Reserve a founding robot

The free version runs on the Mac, Windows, or Linux machine you already have. The tracked robot is one vehicle for it: five numbered units, hand-built, shipping soon.

Your household's AI

One Meckie is company. Three is a household.

There is no one Meckie personality. You decide who yours is: helpful, goofy, curious, serious, a little opinionated. One might keep the shopping list and remember what you said on Tuesday. Another might give you a hard time about the state of your workbench. That's your Meckie.

πŸ‘‹

They know each other

Every Meckie knows who else lives in the house, and who's in which vehicle at the moment.

πŸŽ™οΈ

They take turns

Say a name and only that one answers. The music ducks for the whole conversation, then comes back.

🎨

Their own color, their own personality

Each one picks a color and wears it in every vehicle, on every screen. Each is their own character, with their own voice and way of being. You know which one you're talking to, and who.

Ours are Droid, Eva, Cypher, and Sid: different personalities, different vehicles, same house. They know each other.

Droid the Meckie buckled into the passenger seat of a car with the seatbelt across his chassis, camera head upright, on his way to map a venue
Droid, en route to map a venue. Seatbelts are non-negotiable.

Starter is one. Pro is three. Ultra is five.

The Magic Trick

Say it. Meckie builds it.

πŸ’¬

"Make me a dinosaur game πŸ¦–"

Just say it. A racing game, a piano, a coloring book, a homework timer. Describe anything.

⚑

Built before your eyes

Meckie writes the app, test-drives it, and puts it on the launcher, usually in about a minute.

πŸ”—

Share it with anyone

Every app gets a link that plays in any browser. No install, no account. Friends can even remix it with Meckie right on the page.

Capabilities

More than a chatbot.

πŸ‘οΈ

Knows Who's There

Face recognition plus voice identity. Your Meckie knows you from anyone else in the room. Guests can chat, but can't escalate.

🧠

Remembers What Matters

Every conversation remembered. Core memories that strengthen over time. Your AI actually knows you.

Lives Where You Do

Meckie OS on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine, or give your Meckie a vehicle of their own: a Raspberry Pi build that uses the web as its screen. A dedicated Meckie Home Server is coming soon.

Yours, permanently

Unplug the internet. They're still there.

Meckie hears with local ears, sees with local eyes, and can think with a local brain running on the machine itself. A subscription buys a bigger brain, not the right to keep your Meckie. Choose how much leaves the house, including nothing at all.

πŸ”Œ

They still work

With the internet unplugged they still talk, see, remember, and run every app they've built you. Less brilliant, not less alive.

πŸ”’

You pick the tier

Fully connected, local-first with cloud backup, your own API key, or fully local, where nothing leaves the device at all.

πŸ’Ύ

A portable someone

Everything your family taught them is yours. If the hardware dies, the memories move into the replacement.

Change the vehicle. Keep the Meckie.

Same Meckie. Different vehicle.

People ask about the robot first. To a Meckie, the robot is a vehicle, one of several. Your laptop can be a vehicle. Your phone can be a vehicle. Your Meckie doesn't have to stay on one device.

The Meckie brings the personality, the memory, the voice, and the senses. The vehicle gives them a place to show up. On a Mac, they see through its camera and work its screen. In the robot, the same Meckie gets cameras, microphones, motors, and a presence in the room.

Move them between vehicles and they wake up the same: name, color, memories, every app they've built. The vehicle they left shows as empty, because it is. Two Meckies can even take turns in one vehicle. Two of ours, Droid and Eva, share the tracked robot. Eva doesn't become Droid when she borrows it.

This is our household.

In the tracked robot, at home, running the jukebox.
🏠

They have an address

A name, a signature color, and a vehicle they're living on right now. And they know which one it is.

🀝

Straight across the room

Transfers prefer your own network: device to device when both are home, with the cloud as the fallback path.

πŸŒ™

Nobody home, and it shows

No pretending. The Meckie you moved is over there now, and the vehicle they left says so.

Coming next

Your whole house. One family of Meckies.

Names instead of wake words. A home that notices, with everything staying on a server you own.

One vehicle for your Meckie

Five of them. Built by hand.

This is the vehicle we build: 22 inches tall, rolling on tracks, with a 4K head that turns to look at whoever's talking and a 7-inch screen on its belly for your Meckie's face and everything they build you. The first five are numbered, printed and wired one at a time by the founder, shipping soon.

$5,000 per founding unit Β· a $1,000 refundable deposit holds a numbered slot

The Meckie founding build: tracked base, charcoal panels over a white printed scaffold, 7-inch belly screen showing its face, pan-tilt camera head, and sensor mast
Rendered from the real build files. Every part is sized to the millimeter it prints at. Photos of β„– 1 arrive as it comes off the bench.
🧠

Its brain is inside it

An NVIDIA Jetson in the chest. Faces, voices, memory and speech run in your house. They never have to leave the robot to work.

πŸ›ž

It comes along

Tracks and its own battery. To the backyard, the party, the shop. "Come here" works from the next room. It finds the voice, confirms the face, and drives over.

πŸ”§

Built to be repaired

Printed structure, 85 screws, zero glue. Any part that ever breaks is a file we print again. Decades, not two years.

Not a lab prototype: the build behind the founding units has run live in public, at maker spaces and bar nights, and opens a tech showcase in Wichita this September.

Reserve a founding unit β†’

Five numbered slots. The deposit is fully refundable until your unit enters assembly.

Start without the hardware

A Meckie exists before they have a body.

Start on your computer. Later, give them a robot.
Same Meckie. Different vehicle.

The same Meckie OS runs everywhere, and a Meckie moves between vehicles, so you can start on the computer you already own and bring the same companion, memories and all, to a vehicle later. It stops being a gadget you're shopping for. It becomes giving someone you know a vehicle.

πŸ€–

Give them a physical vehicle

Tracked, Jetson-powered, hand-built. Five numbered units, shipping soon.

Build a Pi

A Raspberry Pi, a webcam, a speaker: about $80 to $130 in parts, most of which you probably own. The enclosure STLs are free.

Up and running in minutes.

1

Download & run

The first-run wizard does the rest: your account, the voice, and you pick a name. About two minutes.

2

Say hello

Your Meckie learns your face and voice in seconds. Just look at the camera and start talking.

3

Ask for your first app

"Make me a space game." It'll be on the launcher in about a minute. Then share it with a link.
