Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Droid ("the Service"), operated by TurkeyCode. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Droid is an AI companion platform. You can create personalized AI droids that see, hear, speak, and remember. The Service includes web-based interaction, physical device support, voice conversation, face recognition, memory, and third-party skill integrations.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for your account credentials. Don't share them.
• One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Plans & Billing

• Trial: Free for 7 days. Limited features.
• Starter ($9.99/mo): Full conversation, memory, and skills.
• Pro ($24.99/mo): Vision, voice, unlimited tokens, face recognition.
• Ultra ($49.99/mo): Everything plus priority support and multiple droids.
• BYOK ($4.99/mo): Bring your own Anthropic API key. Reduced platform fee.

Prices may change with 30 days notice. Subscriptions renew monthly. Cancel anytime from the dashboard — no refunds for partial months.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal.
• Attempt to access other users' data or droids.
• Use the face recognition feature to surveil people without their knowledge or consent.
• Abuse rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service.
• Use the Service to generate harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.
• Enroll faces of people who haven't consented to face recognition.

5. Your Data

• You own your conversations, memories, and configurations.
• We need a license to process your data to provide the Service (e.g., sending text to Claude for responses).
• We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

6. AI Limitations

• Droid is an AI companion, not a professional advisor. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
• AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Use your judgment.
• Face recognition is probabilistic — it can make mistakes.
• Memory is imperfect — your droid may forget things or remember them incorrectly.

7. Third-Party Skills

• Some skills connect to third-party services (weather, news, etc.) and may have their own terms.
• Skills that require API keys use your credentials — we store them encrypted but you are responsible for their use.
• We are not responsible for third-party service availability or accuracy.

8. Physical Devices

If you use Droid with physical hardware (Raspberry Pi, etc.):

• You are responsible for your hardware and its physical security.
• Camera and microphone access is your responsibility — ensure appropriate consent in your environment.
• We are not responsible for hardware damage, electrical issues, or physical safety.

9. Service Availability

• We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime.
• We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.
• Features may change, be added, or be removed as the Service evolves.

10. Termination

• You can delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, TurkeyCode is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
