The physical vehicle
Five of them. Built by hand.
This is the vehicle we build: 22 inches tall, rolling on tracks, with a 4K head
that turns to look at whoever's talking and a 7-inch screen on its belly for
your Meckie's face and everything they build you. The first five are numbered,
printed and wired one at a time by the founder, shipping soon.

Its brain is inside it
An NVIDIA Jetson in the chest. Faces, voices, memory and speech run in your house. They never have to leave the robot to work.

Tracks and its own battery. To the backyard, the party, the shop. "Come here" works from the next room. It finds the voice, confirms the face, and drives over.

Built to be repaired
Printed structure, 85 screws, zero glue. Any part that ever breaks is a file we print again. Decades, not two years.
Not a lab prototype: the build behind the founding units has run live in
public, at maker spaces and bar nights, and opens a tech showcase in Wichita
this September.

The part nobody else does
Change the vehicle. Keep the Meckie.
The Meckie has the senses: vision, hearing, memory, a voice, a mind of their
own. The vehicle decides how those get expressed. On a Mac, they see through
its camera and work its screen. In the robot, the same Meckie gets cameras,
microphones, motors, and a presence in the room. Move them between vehicles
and they wake up the same: name, color, memories, every app they've built.
The vehicle they left shows as empty, because it is. Two Meckies can even take
turns in one vehicle. Ours do: Eva doesn't become Droid when she borrows the robot;
they just have access to the same vehicle.

Transfers prefer your own network: device to device when both are home, with the cloud as the fallback path.

No pretending. The Meckie you moved is over there now, and the vehicle they left says so.
Yours, permanently
Unplug the internet. They're still there.
Meckie hears with local ears, sees with local eyes, and can think with a local
brain running on the machine itself. A subscription buys a bigger brain, not
the right to keep your Meckie. Choose how much leaves the house, including
nothing at all.
